God the Guide // Psalm 139:10
Psalm 139:10 (NIV) | …even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
I’d recommend you read Psalm 139 in its entirety, because it is so good! Our verse for the day is essentially the answer to a rhetorical posed by King David (who wrote this psalm): Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? (Psalm 139:7) David answered his own question by saying God is in highest heights of life, as well as the lowest depths; from the rising of the sun to the setting of the same. God is there in all places and all ways to guide us by the hand. That is such a sweet and intimate image, isn’t it? Like a parent guiding a small child, God is there with a better view and stronger grasp of life than we can ever be. So, if you find yourself looking which way to go, know God is already there and wants to guide you with His holy hand.
