Finish the Race // Acts 20:24
In the spirit of the Olympics, today’s verse is to inspire us to finish the race for Jesus Christ in the face of all kinds of adversity. The context is the Apostle Paul preparing his friends and followers for his trip to Jerusalem, which he knew would not end well. Paul knew the pain was worth the gain and made his goal not temporary glory, but eternal glory. If you are facing difficulties right now, I want to encourage you to follow Paul’s example and aim to finish the race despite the adversity you face. Spectators are watching and your perseverance might just be the defining moment in someone else getting off the starting block in their own race of faith.
