All for Jesus // Colossians 3:24-25

Today’s verse is very important to me in how the Apostle Paul wrote that whatever we do, we are to do it with all our heart as to the Lord and not to people. The reason I lean on this verse to heavily is because of my strong people-pleasing nature. Almost all of us want to be liked and accepted; after all, God encoded this into most of our DNA as a survival instinct. Problems arise, though, when we put people ahead of God. The Lord wants us to put Him first and see how everything else falls into place. This doesn’t mean we abandon our loved ones; in fact, our love for others should grow more focused, fierce, and faith filled. That way, we are able to live into Jesus’ affirmation that whatever we do for others, we do for Him (Matthew 25:40).
