“You’re With Me” // 1 Timothy 2:5

This week’s theme in our devotion space has been how we can be saved from our messes and misses to find a new purpose in God. This is not based on anything we’ve accomplished, might be engaged in currently, or plan to do, but solely on what Jesus did on the cross. As today’s verse states, Jesus is the one and only mediator between God and humanity. Jesus stood in the gap caused by sin and bridged the chasm between the gross goof-ups of life and God’s grace-filled glory! Now, when God looks at you, He sees you through the veneer of Jesus’ sacrificial love. Jesus is indeed your mediator, so when the time comes for you to meet our Heavenly Father, you’ll be welcomed into eternity as Jesus says, “Yeah, you’re with me.”
