Wholehearted // Jeremiah 29:13
Are you seeking God? If so, how does it strike you to read that God wants you to seek Him wholeheartedly? What does that even mean? One way to describe it is to give God your full attention. There are so many distractions in life, many of which we welcome without reservation. God wants you to seek Him with your undivided attention as opposed to in a way where you are easily distracted. It’s all about proper alignment of priorities, perspective, and purpose. The good news is God promises that we will find Him when we seek Him wholeheartedly. So how does one seek? Start in prayer. Read some scripture. Listen to some Christian music. Attend and participate in a worship gathering. Find a group of other Jesus followers to do life with. Be generous with your time, energy, and money. Those aren’t exhaustive or exclusive steps, but they will go a long way toward helping you direct your attention to God. Give it a shot. If you need any help, direction, or guidance, let me know. In the meantime, happy seeking!
