Use Your Gift Card Day // 1 Peter 4:10

It’s National Gift Card Day, a time to remember to use some of those gifts you might have received at Christmas before they get lost in the shuffle or clutter of life. Whereas some might find gift cards impersonal, we like them in our family. We appreciate the opportunity to make memories or enjoy experiences, and gift cards make that possible at a time that works well for us. We also have been able to “live a little” when money is tight due to medical bills or other unexpected expenses. When we think about gifts given from a biblical point of view, God wants us to use them. God gives all believers special spiritual gifts we are to use to help others know God is real, loves us, and has a purpose for our lives. Sometimes they are for specific spaces or places, and other times to be shared at a future time. Regardless, God wants us to use our gifts that help build up others and point people to Him. So, remember to use your gift cards, and as you do, don’t forget that God gave you gifts He wants you to use for your joy, the benefit of others, and promotion of God’s Kingdom.
