Turn Your Mind to God // Romans 8:6

My mind so frequently races like it’s trying to win the Daytona 500. Can you relate? I so frequently get trapped between what I is true, what I wish was true, and what I know will be true. Unfortunately, my mind will occasionally get stuck in a pattern where it keeps making the wrong turn. And since those NASCAR tracks can only make left turns, going the wrong way can be catastrophic! The Bible makes it pretty clear that we aren’t helpless victims when it comes to our mind, so we can actually change it if we are intent on doing so. It all comes down to where we direct our thoughts. Colossians 3:2 tells us, ““Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” This means that if we re-place our thoughts when they’re pulling us down, the perfect place to turn is up and into the presence of our Lord. If you ate struggling with the battle between your ears, raise your gaze and turn your thoughts to heaven where the Holy Spirit wants to wrap your thoughts with life and peace.
