True Greatness // John 13:14

The Lord always wants us to remember our place. There are times we want to lord over people ourselves but it’s hard to tower over someone when you’re stooping to wash their feet. Jesus did this at the Last Supper to teach the disciples a lesson and give them an example to follow. Many of them were jockeying for position in Jesus’ presence in hopes it would pay off for them in His Kingdom. The truth is that no one is ever greater than when they serve.
