Total Spirit Saturation // Habakkuk 2:14

Wow, today’s verse really hit home for me! The prophet Habakkuk was grappling with issues of justice, God’s plan, and how we are to live in faith when we feel a conflict between the two. God said that the time will come when an awareness of God will fill the earth as water fills the sea. But think about that for a moment. Water isn’t just part of the sea, it defines it. The Bible promises us the time will come when God’s glory will define the world along with our lives! I think that’s pretty cool. Then, we will experience a total spiritual saturation with the things that concerned Habakkuk and other prophets, too. In fact, consider Amos 5:24,”let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” I bet we all want to see God’s justice flow like a river, flood our lives with God’s love, and saturate the world with glory. Come, Lord Jesus, come and make it so.
