This World Needs a YOU! // Revelation 4:11

The second part of today’s verse put a smile on my face: “you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.” Remember the opening sequence of Genesis 1 when God created everything and called them good until He finished with humanity and called all of creation, very good (Genesis 1:31). Sure, things unraveled pretty quickly, but amidst the ickiness of sin, God created a plan to redeem and restore the world and everything in it. God knew He would send us Jesus, and in our re-creation, we would (A) discover the purpose for our original creation, and (B) praise our worthy God and give Him the honor and power He is truly due. No, not everything in this fallen world is good, but God can make all things work together for good for those who love Him. Will you embrace God’s offer of salvation through the forgiveness of your sin? Will you bask in the glory of His redemption, restoration that comes through reconciliation? You are here because it pleased the Lord to know the world needed a “you” in the time and space you occupy! May your life bring glory to God as you praise and honor Him with your life.
