The Luster of the Lord’s L☀️VE
Jesus told us to shine and shine brightly for God. When we shine, we show people that God is good. This is important because of the darkness all around us. When you let your light shine for others, it penetrates and disperses the darkness. It’s important to remember that we are not the light ourselves. Nope, Jesus is the light. John 8:12 records Jesus saying, “I am the Light of the World. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” When we shine, we are more accurately reflecting Jesus light. Think of it like the moon — it illuminates the night sky, but it does not generate its own light; rather it reflects light from the sun. So let your light shine in the darkness of the world by the way you live. Stay close as you follow Jesus to radiate brilliantly. Your luster in how you conduct yourself in an otherwise dark and cruel world reveals that God is still there and God is still good. So let’s go shine that Jesus L☀️VE today!
