The Agreement // 1 John 1:9

I think it’s a good idea to take a look at the word, confession, as it appears in today’s verse. It is a word that really means, to agree. When we confess our sins to God, we are essentially agreeing with Him that we are sinners in need of grace. God enters into an agreement with us when we confess to Him, which is to fully forgive us, restore us to spiritual fullness, and deploy us to help make Him known to others. Talk about an agreement! He agrees to save us when we agree we need saving! Is there anything you need to bring into the light before God today, trusting His promise of forgiveness?
