Super Sufficiency // 2 Corinthians 12:9

When was the last time you felt, “Why me!?” and wondered why a good God would let something so bad happen to you? It happens quite a bit, doesn’t it? A hard lesson I still struggle to learn is that God is more concerned about my character than my comfort. There are things about my life and circumstances I wish would change, but no matter how hard I pray, I must endure. Now, that’s not to say God can’t snap His fingers and make all things hunky-dory, but what would we learn? We either become too self-reliant or just expect God to act like a genie and jump to grant our wishes. It’s been said that God allows brokenness so we can see where we end and He begins. This exemplifies God’s statement from today’s verse that His grace is sufficient because His power meets us in our weakness to give us a super strength we’d otherwise never know. So, if you’re struggling with the “why mes” today, acknowledge your weakness and invite God into it. When you do, He’ll infuse you with His strength and show you the sufficiency of His amazing grace!
