Spring and the Season of Singing // Song of Solomon 2:11-12
It’s the first day of spring! Are you excited? I am; especially as the days lengthen, I can fire up the grill, and the sounds of baseball fill the air. Song of Solomon 2:11-12 reflects how God brings us the seasons, each with their own special qualities: “See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.” As the birds begin singing, I hope you will, too. Remember that music is a universal language and God wants to put a new song in your heart to sing in order to share His love and the hope of renewal (Psalm 40:3).
