Seen in the Light // Psalm 119:130
C.S. Lewis wrote, “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” Pretty cool, huh? Christianity promises that God came into our dark and lonely world in the person of Jesus. Jesus, the Light of the World, conquered and banished the darkness. He died for our sins and fulfilled God’s wrath. He also came to show us the way back to God, promising that when we walk in Him, we never walk in the darkness. Jesus IS the light by which we are able to see the world, knowing that our hope is eternal and our home is with God. I hope this simple thought will help you prepare for whatever today holds as we get ready to tackle it together and with God. Remember that God is light in whom there is no darkness at all. May that help you see whatever you will encounter through eyes of faith, a soul filled with hope, and a heart motivated to love.
