See to Believe or Believe to See? // John 20:29

Some people feel like they have to see to believe, but God’s way more often than not is we must first believe in order to see. Jesus told Thomas that though he had to see the Risen Lord in order to believe, we will be blessed when we believe and then find ourselves able to see. I am reminded of the great CS Lewis quote that I want to leave you with today: “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.“
