Raise the Praise // Psalm 47:1

Psalm 47:1-2 (NIV) | Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. For the Lord Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth.

I think about going to sporting events for some reason when I read today’s verse. It makes me reflect over the jumbotron showing graphics and playing sounds to urge the fans in the stands to cheer on their team on the field. Psalm 47:1 tells us to make noise for the Lord who is awesome and has dominion, giving us all a homefield advantage in the contest over good and evil. Will you clap your hands, raise your voice, and feel the shared energy as we praise our awesome God? I pray so…let’s go!
