Purpose in the Pain // 2 Timothy 4:7
How do you read today’s verse? Paul wrote this when he knew he was nearing the end of his life. He would soon be martyred for his faith. Still, as he faced this destiny, he wanted others to know that it was worth it, not just for him, but for everyone who struggles for the Lord. If you are fighting in faith and running the course set out for you, know there is purpose, yes, even in the pain. Ultimately, it is about living for the words of the Lord, “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23!)
