True Power // Romans 1:16

Romans 1:16 (NIV) | For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

The Gospel is power, true power. The Greek word for power as it refers to the Gospel is, dunamis, which means a miraculous power, might, and strength. This is the power that resurrected Jesus, bring life from death. It is the same power that infuses our lives when we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of our lives. Some might shrink back from faith out of fear what others will think, but the Apostle Paul said there is no reason to feel ashamed because the Gospel can bring life from death, strength from weakness, and beauty from ashes. Will you accept the Gospel and allow God’s power to surge through you? It’s available to everyone who believes and can radically transform even the most desperate of circumstances. Including yours.
