Persevere // Revelation 3:10

What do you think about God commanding us to persevere? This can really be tough when we feel like quitting, but it’s essential! The BIG idea is the world is full of trouble which produces many logical reasons to throw in the proverbial towel. When we look at the verb, to persevere, in the original Greek, it has a distinctively personalized meaning: I stay on; I remain in; I persist. When God commands us to persevere, He wants us to stay on His path, remain in the faith, and persist in hope. Persevering like this is what gives us the protection we need in hard times and allows the Lord to grade those who believe in Jesus on an eternally beneficial curve when the tests for the unbelievers arrive. So, will you heed God’s command to persevere? Will you stay on God’s path? Will you remain in the faith? Will you persist in hope? I pray so!
