Palm Sunday // Luke 19:38

Today is Palm Sunday, the day we commemorate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. He was greeted by crowds laying their cloaks on the road and waving palm branches while shouting, “Hosanna!” That word, hosanna, is important because it isn’t just a shout of praise—it is also a cry that means save us now.” I especially love how Gospel of Luke describes this moment because it echoes the language surrounding Jesus’ birth: “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest” (Luke 19:38)! The hope that began in Bethlehem’s cradle was now moving toward Jerusalem’s cross, with Easter just over the horizon. On this Palm Sunday, take time to praise the King of Glory and seek the peace that comes from heaven. Then use something tangible—like the palms of your own hands—to help someone see that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has a purpose for their life through the presence, peace, and power of Jesus.
