Overflow to Flood // Romans 15:13

Romans 15:13 (NIV) | May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Aaaah, today’s verse hits me in such a real and refreshing way. How about you? What image comes to mind? For me, it’s like God pouring some luscious, ice-cold sweet tea in my glass from a never-ending pitcher on a hot summer afternoon. We see that when God pours, He never runs dry. When we receive what He pours, we will never run dry either. What a powerful thought! This world can leave us all feeling dry and parched, but the Lord wants to fill us all with His hope, peace, joy, and love. Will you open your life to receive Him? I pray so, because when He does, all of our cups will overflow to flood the world with the presence and power of God.
