Our Holy Cardiologist // Psalm 51:10

Psalm 51:10 comes as a prayer from King David! “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” This came after the Bathsheba debacle and David was praying for God’s mercy and forgiveness. He knew that the Lord is a holy cardiologist, but instead of praying for a healed heart or a restored heard, he needed a new heart! Consider this in light of what we read in Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” Only God can provide the cure, but He prefers to create a whole new one with a steadfast spirit, infused with His very own. So, as we kick off this Wednesday, let’s turn to the Holy Cardiologist to help deal with what’s incurable within.
