On Windshields vs Rearviews // Isaiah 43:18-19

Today’s verse is one with a great promise but can be hard in practice. What in your past do you need to move on from? It could be the proverbial glory days you’d rather return to, or painful days you pray you never experience again. Regardless of where you fall on that spectrum, God doesn’t want us dwelling on the past but looking for what He is doing so we can go where He is leading. This is one reason the windshield in your car is so much larger than your rearview mirror. It’s good to know where you came from, but not at the expense of where you’re going, regardless of whether your past was awesome or awful.
