On Foolishness and Weakness // Proverbs 3:7

Do you know anyone who is so convinced that they are right that they look foolish when proven wrong? I think we all do. This is part of our human condition where we get wrapped up in our perspectives to the point that become traps. God teaches us not to look to self as the source of truth, which essentially makes an idol in the place of God. The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 1:27 about how “God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.” The point being that God only wants us to seek Him for the wisdom and strength we need to survive in a world so full of foolishness.
