Not Luck, Love // Romans 10:13

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! This is a day when we look for luck in things like four leaf clovers, leprechauns, and pots of gold at the end of the rainbow. All of those things will wilt and fade in time, so if you find luck in them, it is fleeting at best. What God wants to offer you is hope in salvation which never fades! You do not need to find a four leaf clover, a leprechaun, or pot of gold to get the richness of a life with God thanks to Jesus Christ. This, my friends, has nothing to do with luck, it’s all about love! I want to close today with this extended passage from Ephesians 2:6-8, “God raised us up with Christ. He has seated us with him in his heavenly kingdom. That’s because we belong to Christ Jesus. He has done it to show the riches of his grace for all time to come. His grace can’t be compared with anything else. He has shown it by being kind to us. He was kind to us because of what Christ Jesus has done. God’s grace has saved you because of your faith in Christ. Your salvation doesn’t come from anything you do. It is God’s gift.” So, while others are seeking the luck of the Irish today, know you have the love of God and the salvation of your soul.
