National Early Bird Day // Psalm 5:3
Did you know it is National Early Bird Day? This is a time to think about the old proverb that the early bird gets the worm. Rising early, especially on a Monday of a holiday week, might be difficult for most — if not many — but there are benefits for sure.
We read in our verse for today from Psalm 5:3 about waking and speaking to God. I know my days always go better when I do, but I can’t say it’s always true. Once we wake and speak, God wants us to wait and seek. This requires patience and persistence, doesn’t it? The blessing of the Scripture shows up in that God always hears and is ready to help. We might not always recognize the help, or receive it in the way God gives, but He promised to never leave nir forsake us, and He isn’t about to start today.
How did you start today? We will officially kick off the second half of 2024 in just a few hours. If you need a spiritual tuneup, set an alarm for noon, then awaken into the next part of this year and await God to show up and show out. Be expectant. Be enthusiastic. Be patient. Be persistent. Do it all in and for the glory of God. Amen? Amen!
