National Dog Day // Ephesians 5:1-2
Happy National Dog Day! I miss seeing my pups, Yoshi and Millie, and cannot wait to get back home with Brighton to introduce them to their new sister. If Brighton’s experience coming home is anything like Mia’s, we’ll be taking lots of walks in the stroller so she can soak up as much sunlight as possible to help reset her circadian rhythm.
Walking is a common metaphor for the life of faith in Scripture. It requires motion and movement. It is also good for our skeleton and organs. God designed us for walking to strengthen us inside and out. And as John wrote, we need to walk in the Light since that’s where the Lord is (1 John 1:5-7).
I look forward to getting back home to my pups and walking with Brighton. It will help us both reset our sensitivity to the light and the dark, as well as make us strong inside and out.
