1 Thessalonians 5:11

Today is National Call A Friend Day. Do you want to phone a friend? I think I’ll always hear that in Regis Philbin’s voice. God designed us for the purpose of relationship and we need friends who can support us when times are tough and hold us accountable when we are tough. We need those people who will celebrate our victories and provide comfort in our defeats. It’s about helping us build our lives to experience the wealth of blessings in life, as well as be a source of blessing for others, too. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 teaches us to “encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” So let’s do it today. Who are you gonna call? Let’s be good friends who love deeply and live into God’s precious plan to weave us all together in life-giving relationship.
