Our Spiritual Family // Mark 3:35

Today is National Siblings Day, and I thank God for my brother and sister. We do our best to stay in touch, but it gets harder and harder the busier we become. Today’s verse comes from Mark 3:35 when Jesus declared that He considers everyone who does God’s will to be His brother, sister, and mother. This sentiment places an exclamation point on John 1:12 that states all who accept Jesus are given the right to become children of God. So, on this Siblings Day, give thanks to God for your biological brethren, but even more so for those who with you are born of the Spirit.
