Facing the Impossible with Faith // Luke 1:37

There are many stories in the Bible that show how God likes to make a mockery of the things we people tend to believe are impossible. Our verse for today comes from when the angel told Mary she would give birth to a child when she had done nothing of the sort that would lend to such a development, let alone a delivery. We must note that Mary’s response wasn’t resistance, but trust. What seemed impossible to her was entirely possible with God! Her story reminds us that faith isn’t about having everything figured out…it’s about trusting the One who does. God still delights in doing the impossible through ordinary people who say “yes” to Him. When we stop limiting what He can do to what we can understand, miracles begin to unfold in ways we never expected.
