Love and Hospitality // Romans 12:10

Breathe deeply and allow today’s verse to flow into your soul, “Love one another deeply as brothers and sisters.” There is a second part to this verse which points us to honoring and giving mutual respect. In other words, the Apostle Paul’s writing here isn’t just about emotion, but love in motion. Paul described a life like this in terms of always looking for ways to help and practice hospitality (v.13). But here’s the kicker — hospitality in the Bible isn’t just about entertaining our family and friends; no, hospitality is about welcoming strangers! Then, through the love we put into action, strangers become brothers and sisters in the faith. Beautiful, isn’t it? So as we get ready to tackle today, look for people who might appear to be strangers and love them as you do your own family. For in Christ Jesus, they are…we all are So let’s do it, huh? Let’s go!
