Live Like Jesus // 1 John 2:6

Yesterday we explored how Jesus imputes His perfection to us for our salvation. Today’s verse encourages us to live like Jesus. How did Jesus live? Simply, in surrender to God…sacrificially, in service to others. Everything Jesus did during His earthly ministry was steeped in love and He called us to carry on similarly until He returns. May His model for living provide the example you need to begin this Lord’s day: simplicity, surrender, sacrifice, service. I want to close with another verse hammering home this point: “And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world” (1 John 4:17).
