Light

John 12:46

I think that my favorite metaphor by which Jesus referred to Himself is, light. John 12:46 tells us that He came to be light so that anyone who places their faith in Him will no longer have to walk in darkness. This is a beautiful connection to an earlier prophecy in Isiah 9:2, “The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.” The good news here is that people will see the light; the question is, will they follow it? There are all kinds of reasons a person might choose not to follow the light, but how much wisdom is there not to? Jesus came to be light in our dark and lonely world. You don’t have to stay in the shadows. Will you follow that light? I pray you will. If you need any help along the way, let me know. Comment below or send me a private message…I am here to help.
