Jesus the Eternal // John 1:1

John 1:1 (NIV) | In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Today’s verse gives us some awesome insight into the Trinitarian nature of God. We read that Jesus is the eternal living Word of God, present with God in creation. Christ the Son took on human form to come and live among us and show us the way to God’s heart. Since God’s reveals Himself through His Word and creation, we can know that Jesus was part of it all. It echoes Revelation 1:8 so well, “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
