Jesus Is! // Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He was there at creation. He is there for our re-creation. He will be there when Satan is defeated once and for all. The Gospel of John shows us that Jesus is the very Word of God in the flesh (John 1:1). That means we can draw a straight line between Jesus and God’s Word being the same always and forever. This can be inconvenient for us; especially when we wish God’s Word would evolve with our “modern sensibilities”. It doesn’t work that way. Pay attention to how the Lord addresses human nature and our human condition. You’ll see that we are dealing with many of the same problems. It might feel differently, but so much of that has to do with the advancements in travel and technology that connect us globally, causing us to think our world is altogether different from what anyone else ever experienced. So, if you are struggling with something today, turn to Jesus. He is the living embodiment of God’s will, word, and way. Let Him lead, guide, and direct your life. Trust Him, even when it’s hard or inconvenient. He is the way, the truth, and the life…the one and only way to God the Father (John 14:6).
