It’s Time to Dance // Ecclesiastes 3:4
Dance shows up in the Bible at some of the most meaningful moments. One of my favorite stories is when King David danced before the Lord with all his might as the ark returned to Jerusalem (2 Samuel 6:14). What we see here is that dance was more than just movement, it was a response to God’s work. Behind every beautiful dance is a choreographer—someone who sees the whole pattern before a single step is taken. The dancers may feel the tension of timing, spacing, and transitions, but the choreographer holds the full vision. Scripture reminds us that God does the same with our lives. “The steps of a man are established by the Lord” (Psalm 37:23). Even when the rhythm changes or the movement feels unfamiliar, God is orchestrating something meaningful. What looks like chaos to us may be preparation for the next phrase in His design. On today, National Choreographer Day, we celebrate those who craft movement—but we also remember the One who choreographs our days. God invites us to trust His timing, follow His lead, and move in step with His Spirit.
