Impatient? Pray! // 2 Peter 3:9
2 Peter 3:9 | The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
How do you view time? Especially pertinent as we hit the first hump day of 2023. Time is obviously different to God than it is you and me. We can get impatient waiting in line or during a commercial break. God exists outside of time, yet is mindful of it. God’s goal now is for all people to have an opportunity to hear the Gospel and accept His offer of salvation through the forgiveness of sins. We can get impatient when we see all the yuck in the world and wonder how much longer until Jesus returns. The Apostle Peter gives us the answer. So, if you see yourself getting pestered today, use it to form a prayer. Pray for someone who needs to find the grace of God. Pray for someone who is wayward, lost. Pray.
