How Big are Your Problems? // Isaiah 41:13
There seem to be so many reasons to fear right now, aren’t there? One of the primary reasons is a loss of perspective. We think of ourselves as the center of the universe, even despite knowing otherwise, which can make the problems we face seem insurmountable. They aren’t. The very next verse that God spoke might seem jarring, but it is about God recalibrating reality: “‘Do not be afraid, you worm Jacob, little Israel, do not fear, for I myself will help you,’ declares the Lord” (Isaiah 43:14, NIV). Worm? Little Israel? Sounds harsh, huh? God’s words weren’t to insult, but instruct. We need not fear what comes our way because the Lord is here to help…that’s just as true today as it was when these words were originally spoken. So, if you feel as though the problems you face are too big for you, turn to God. And instead of telling God how big your problems are, try tell your problems how big your God is!
