Hold in Hope // Hebrews 10:23

We are about to turn the page from 2022 to 2023. This past year has been full of highs and lows, just as next year will be. Regardless how you feel about turning loose of ’22 in expectation of ’23, take the advice given in today’s verse to hold unswervingly to the hope we profess. As you do so, I pray you embrace the operative part of this verse, because our hope isn’t in what we think tomorrow might hold, but Who it is that holds tomorrow. As Hebrews tells us, we can have this unswerving hope because it is God who made the promise. This makes hope out to be a lot more than just simple optimism, but a state of living by which we can stake our lives. I pray you will finish 2022 strong and anticipate an amazing new year full of promise…and not just with some kind of optimistic outlook, but because you know the Lord Jesus is already there.
