God’s Health and Healing // Jeremiah 30:17

Today is International Repetitive Strain Injury Awareness Day. This day reminds us of the real pain many carry from daily, repeated motions that cause aching in our elbows (can I get a witness!), wrists, backs, shoulders, or the deeper weariness of body and spirit. These injuries whisper that healing feels slow or impossible, but we must remember that God’s promise rings clear: He is the Restorer who declares healing over wounds, both seen and unseen. God declared this in Jeremiah 30:17 with the words, “‘But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the Lord” (NIV). We must come to grips that our hope isn’t in quick fixes or perfect bodies, but in the One who bore our infirmities and promises our restoration. It might come here, but definitely in the world to come. Know that God sees your persistent pain, your careful adaptations, your frustration, and He speaks hope with the promise to restore and heal. Remember, Jesus took on incredible pain and agony so we could be healed through His wounds. So, trust Him for strength today, whether through medical care, rest, community, or the quiet assurance that ultimate healing awaits in eternity.
