God’s Eternal Temple // 1 Corinthians 3:16

Today’s verse contextually points to the coming of the Judgement Day when fire will rain down from Heaven. The Apostle Paul conceded that the flames would consume all that was earthly, but we need not fear because our belief in Christ welcomes us into the protection of God’s eternal Temple. The Holy Spirit living with us will cause us to outlive these earthly tents that our souls inhabit. So, if you’re facing the heart of life today, remember that the flames might burn up your surroundings, but cannot touch your soul!
