God with Us // Isaiah 7:14
Immanuel. God with us. That is one of the names by which we know Jesus. We read about this in John 1:14, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” As we get closer and closer to Christmas, I hope you are taking time to look for the glory of God’s grace and truth. The Lord delivered His splendor as Mary delivered the babe…the some who delivers you from sin and separation from God. Now, we have the ability — and responsibility — to share that with glory with others. This is perhaps the greatest time of year when people are open to hearing the message of God’s Good News. Make certain this season is not just about reindeer, snowmen, and a jolly old man in in a sleigh. Find ways to express the truth of God’s unconditional love and may the glory of His presence among us resound in praise. Why? Because of Immanuel. God with us!
