God Is Love // 1 John 4:16

Here is a simple yet extravagant thought for your Saturday: God is love. The Bible doesn’t say that God has love, feels love, or acts in love, but is love! Love is God’s nature and God’s character. Grace is the word that describes the love of God that we do not deserve and cannot earn. We receive God’s love not because of who we are or what we do for God, but because of who God is and did for us in Christ Jesus. So, focus on God’s love today and know it isn’t something that’s here today and gone tomorrow, but the very force that undergirds and overwhelms, simply because God is love!
