Go with God // Isaiah 54:17

The enemy of goodness and truth will try anything to distract, distort, and divide. Let’s face it, we are all susceptible to it. Things like emotion and pride get in the way and easily become weapons. The good news from today’s verse promises that no weapon used against the Jesus follower will end up in defeat. That doesn’t mean we won’t be wounded or deterred, but it does mean you will not ultimately be vanquished. So what are we to do? The Apostle Paul gave some powerful advice in talking about donning the whole armor of God in Ephesians 6:10-20. When you feel the enemy advance, make sure you arm yourself with the things of the Lord such as truth, righteousness, readiness, faith, assurance of salvation, knowledge of the Scriptures, prayers for peace and requests for God’s power. The Lord wants you to be bold when faced with evil schemes, knowing that He is always with you. This is precisely why you can advance into today with confidence that you will not be defeated when you go with God.
