Glory in the Body // 1 Corinthians 12:25-27

1 Corinthians 12:24b-27 (NIV) | God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

The Bible uses the body as a metaphor for the church. We need each other and every single little thing we can bring to the benefit for the whole. It is the Holy Spirit that knits together the part of the church just as it knits us together in our mother’s womb after conception. May we not be so consumed with the parts that are up front, flashy, and public. Like with the body, the most critical parts are typically the ones we cannot readily see, but without which we’d die (think about your vital organs). Know that there is nothing small or insignificant in the Body of Christ when it’s done for the Lord. So, bring to the table whatever you can and see how God uses it to reveal His glory!
