Glory and Blessings! // Luke 19:38

Today’s verse comes from the Gospel of Luke’s account of Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. I love how Luke’s Gospel connects Jesus’ entry in Jerusalem to His entry into our history. Consider how Luke recorded the angels giving Jesus’ birth announcement to the shepherds in Luke 2:14, ““Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” We see in these two verses that Jesus’ entire mission was to bring heaven to earth so we on earth can live forever in heaven. Glory to God, indeed, and blessings for all throughout all time!
