Glimpses // Romans 8:18

Yesterday we looked at holding fast to what is good when we encounter the winters of life. Today’s verse is a great follow-up as we read, “What we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later (Romans 8:18, NLT). Paul went on to write about how all of creation is waiting with anticipation for God’s glory to be fully revealed. We get glimpses of it from time to time, and those glimpses can help us hold fast, knowing that what is to come far outshines what we must endure now. So, whatever it is that causes you to suffer today, know it is temporary. Nothing can compare to what the Lord has in store for those who love Him and hold fast to His glorious promises!
