From our Problems to The Problem Solver // Philippians 4:6-7

Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV) | Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Today’s verse is foundational to my living. I am an anxious person by nature. I must constantly fight the temptation to focus more on my problems than God’s promises. That is precisely why this verse means so much to me. It challenges me to reshape my prayers from focusing on the problem to the Problem Solver. When the Apostle Paul referenced God’s peace transcending our understanding, that how it comes to be. Let’s face it, our problems grow larger and larger when we focus on them. Knowing that nothing is bigger than God helps restore the proper perspective the Lord wants us all to have. So, if you are finding yourself overcome with anxiety, focus less on your problems and more on the Problem Solver. You’ll find Jesus show up and bring a peace that only He can give (John 14:27).
