For Such a Time as This // Esther 4:14
Esther 4:14 (NIV) | For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
The last line in today’s verse is one that I return to frequently. Esther was facing a very difficult situation that easily could have ended up with her death. Mordecai shared with her that she was in that place, the king’s palace, “for such a time as this.” I think that’s a great thing for us to remember when we face trials of all kinds, too. As much as we might want to run away, God might just need us to stand tall so He can work through us. This could be for the benefit of others as well as self. So, if you’re facing a challenge today, instead of running, lift a prayer. You might very well have been placed there for such a time as this.
